Play Your Cards Right - MHA Fundraiser

Valkyrs will be holding a social event in order to help raise funds for the MHA Promotional Committee.  It is Valkyrs turn to host a night of entertainment for all clubs on the Island.

The focus of the evening will be "Play Your Cards Right" along with various other games and it will be held at Peel Football Club on Saturday 11th February.  The night gets going at 7.30pm and there will be a raffle, buffet, DJ and a fully stocked bar to keep everyone happy!

Teams of 5 are required with an entry fee of just £5 per person and members from all hockey clubs are encouraged to attend.

For those travelling back to Douglas, there is a late bus which stops right outside Peel Football Club at 23:37 or 00:45.

Race Night

10-03-2012 (Saturday) - 7.00pm

The club will once again be holding their annual race night on Saturday 10th March. 

The evening gets going from 7pm at Peel Footy Club.  Along with eight races to win stacks of cash on, there will be a buffet and DJ Chris Caldwell will be spinning some tunes to round off the evening!

Race sheets will be sent round shortly and all members are encouraged to fill one out.  Once completed, please give the sheets back to Andrea Kneen or one of the Valkyrs committee.

Valkyrs 50th Anniversary Dinner

05-05-2012 (Saturday) - 7:30pm

In order to celebrate the club's 50th anniversary, there will be a black-tie dinner being held at the Mount Murray Hotel on Saturday 5th May.  This will be part of a weekend of celebrations including vets matches and a junior tournament.

Tickets are on sale for the dinner now, priced at £30 per person and all club members, past and present, are strongly encouraged to book their tickets now.  You can transfer your money directly into the club account or pass to one of the club committee.  The account is:

Styx Cup

26-12-2012 (Wednesday) -

As is customary on Boxing Day, the club will be holding Styx Cup! The friendly match will be played at the QEII starting at 2:30pm followed by a buffet in the Whitehouse from around 4pm. All members are more than welcome to turn up and play or to just join in the drinking festivities in the Whitehouse.
