We got a win again at last. Thanks again to Callum for making the numbers up and more so for his goal! Wouldn't be fair not to mention that Saracens did in fact only have 9 players - however we'd still have beat them I reckon as we totally played as a team - not often mixed hockey is so enjoyable. Mikey was on fire in goals as always, lots of positive vibes from Scampi and Jules at the back. A rare occasion where Phoenix didn't make the scoresheet - but all the same he had a great game. Moorey would have got a lot more than his 4 goals if he'd got on the end of all the "gifts" as Phoenix called them which he put his team mates way. Steve Cottier had a very good game for Saracens, making us wonder how one person can take a ball through an entire team, (all trying to put a tackle in and failing - he even got past Jules!!) and then score - but as the game went on he was considerably slowed down, particularly by Nick Watt who was marking him as if his life depended on it. The ladies also had a great game - Michelle (made up that she got to play against her "karaoke husband"!), Voirrey, Tam and Carol. Fingers crossed for 2 wins next weekend.
