A new season is almost upon so that means that training must be starting soon.  The astroturf pitch at the QEII is being replaced this summer so dates for the start of training are seniors from Wednesday 14th September, 7.30pm - 9.00pm and juniors from 6.00pm - 7.30pm, both at the QEII.

Along with regular training, there will be some fitness sessions run over August to get everyone back into peak condition!  These will start on Wednesday 17th August at 7.30pm at the QEII.  All club members are encouraged to attend.

The season is due to get started mid-September and it all gets going with Mixed hockey from Sep - Dec and Men's/Ladies hockey from Jan-Apr.  Prior to the season starting, some of the club's players will be representing the Island at the bi-annual Four Islands Tournament, to be held in Guernsey between 2nd-4th September.  The IOM will be up against Guernsey, Jersey and Bermuda in a round robin tournament, which the IOM last won in 2007.

On a final note, the club has agreed a new three year sponsorship with Paragon Recruitment.  Based in Douglas, Paragon are an International HR & Recruitment Consultancy.  The sponsorship commences immediately for the 2011/12 season and the assistance kindly offered will enable the club to acquire a special new playing kit to mark the club's 50th anniversary.
